Connectivity Problem with Minecraft - Can't Connect to my Modded Minecraft Server

Problem Description

Issue

I am trying to play the Modpack “Cobblemon: Beyond the Pixelverse”. Here is the link to it: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/cobblemon-beyond-the-pixelverse

I cannot connect to the server despite having (I think) installed the modpack. I am receiving the error “io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Unknown Serializer type 99”. I’d appreciate any help you can give me. I should be available again around 9PM EST tonight.

Reproduction Steps

  • Changed the server to a version of Forge
  • Uploaded my Modpack Files
  • Reinstalled the Modpack on my PC

That’s just a generic networking error, make sure that you have the right mods on the server, and that the server is loading all the mods correctly.
