Problem Description

Issue

Hi, I started the server and cant find it in the local network. To be shure it has connection to the internet I tried the “playit” plugin, which connects the server to the internet in a different way and that worket. But as I said, the direct connection via localhost doesnt work.

Reproduction Steps

  • Setup of server
  • Starting the server
  • cant connect to the server

Are you connecting from the same machine, or a different machine on the same network?

Im in the same network on a different machine and I used the 192.168.178.x IP to connect

Maybe check the host machine’s firewall to see if the ports are opened properly (AMP should do it automatically).
To manually kick it over:
ampinstmgr updatefirewall
ampinstmgr dumpfirewall

If that’s not it, it could be some internal network issue, eg if one machine is hardwired and the other is over Wifi, you might not be able to connect depending on how the network is set up.
