Problem Description

Issue

I set up port forwarding rules in my router [Eero] for my server [192.168.4.91] to forward the ipv4 port 25566, and I removed all firewalls in Ubuntu but I still cannot join my server from outside my local network. If I use an open port checking tool it says my port is not open. Is there something I’m missing??

Reproduction Steps

  • Start Instance
  • Start Minecraft
  • Connect to server via my IP + 25566

You’re using your public IP to connect right? (the one you get when you google “what is my IP”)
I’d recommend trying this site to see if it’s just something on your end: https://mcsrvstat.us/

Hey there (this is my issue). Thanks for the help! I just looked it up today and sounds like the problem is with my ISP. I think it uses CGNAT or something else that blocks acess to my public facing IP. I ended up having to pay for a static IP and as of right now it looks like its working fine
