Problem Description

Issue

Instead of joining when trying to join the error “Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.langIndexOutofBoundsException:index: 14, length: 105 (expected: range(0, 62))” is popping up.

Reproduction Steps

  • Joining the Server
  • Getting Disconnected from Server
  • Clicking back to Server List

If you’re using mods make sure that the server is set to the right modloader and version.
(that looks a lot like an error you get when you connect a Forge/Neo client to a vanilla server)
