Problem Description

Issue

I am unable to connect to my Minecraft server because of a mismatched mod list. After adding the server pack zip to the /mods folder and downloading the same mod version from Curseforge (version 1.20.1 v28 in both cases), I launched the modded Minecraft instance and then started the server. The server is running, but when I try to connect, it reports that 54 mods are missing.
Please advise on how to resolve this issue.

Reproduction Steps

  • Added server pack zip to /mods
  • Downloaded same mod version from Curseforge
  • (1.20.1 v28 in both cases)
  • Launched instance of modded Minecraft
  • Launched server, server is up
  • Can’t connect to server, mismatched mod list (54 mods missing)

Make sure that the server is starting with the correct modloader. You need to set that in the settings, otherwise AMP won’t know that you want to load the mods.
