Problem Description

Issue

We have been playing on this server without any issues. However, we just updated the game instance to the latest version, and right after the update, we can no longer connect from any device (neither PC nor mobile).

The connection always gets stuck on “Connecting to external server” and times out. We have already verified the server internal ports and they are up and listening perfectly. There are no firewall settings or blocks on our side causing this. Since it happened immediately after the update, we need you to check if there is an infrastructure or network block preventing our connection.

Reproduction Steps

  • We updated the game server instance to the latest version.
  • We tried to log in immediately after the update, but we can no longer connect
  • We checked the server internal ports and they are listening perfectly.

I am also having this issue…

me too. I could connect to a different server without issue

Occasionally it would let me login to the server off my phone but I’d get excited and log out and try on my pc only to get hit with the time out.

same, neither LAN or internet traffic can hit the game.

checked UFW rules, port forwarding, all good.

Hey all,
Turning on LAN visibility solved my issues! Maybe something with that changed in the update * shrugs *

Thank you so much, this was genuinely confusing me for hours yesterday. I thought my server was running into issues, turns out is was as simple as toggling this setting. A real life saver!

Thanks for this. My vps is back working now. Unfortunately can only have one server with this but that’s better than nothing.
