Problem Description

Issue

Ran into problems with being unable to connect from the Minecraft Bedrock Edition launcher’s side, specifically being unable to find the ping or the location of the server. Also ran into update issues on the AMP side of things. These problems were encountered since the app itself was downloaded on August 26, 2025.

Reproduction Steps

  • Created an instance of a Minecraft Bedrock server, then immediately closed the game window. The instance continued to run.
  • Attempted to connect to the server by going to the Minecraft Bedrock servers tab, clicking “add server,” and inputting the IP address and port numbers.
  • Restarted and attempted to update the AMP instance and ran into problems with unmatched versions of instances and connectivity issues.

Is the Bedrock server actually running?
