Problem Description

Issue

Even binding to 0.0.0.0 and forwarding the correct port, I still can’t get anyone to connect. Is there a list of settings that’s known to work for this sort of thing?

Reproduction Steps

  • Start the Hytale Server
  • Forward port 5520
  • Connect on local network (test, works)
  • Connect from public network (test, fails)

You may be behind CG-NAT and not able to port forward

I don’t know, what is CG-NAT and how do I check? For the record, I have other servers that are port forwarded on the same computer that work for public hosting, it’s just the Hytale one that hasn’t worked.

If that’s the case, then CG-NAT is not your issue. Double check the port forward for Hytale
