Problem Description

Issue

Unable to connect to server, app id specified by server is invalid

Finally I changed ports to default enshrouded server ports (15636,15637) opened ports on firewall
Still received the same error.
Server shows up when using https://southnode.net/steam-query-tool

EDIT
After restarting a few more times and attempting to add it to the steam favorites list it ended up listing and I was able to connect to the server using the default game ports(15636,15637)

Reproduction Steps

  • Created game server
  • Updated game server
  • Started game server
  • Attempted to connect to server
  • Attempted to add server to favorites through steam server list and received the error.
  • Re-Opened ports on firewall, updated server, and to connect again.

Probably already figured it out after 29 days, but you have to add the server to Steam’s Favorite Server list. There’s a simple enough tutorial at Enshrouded: How to set up or join a dedicated server to play multiplayer | Windows Central

It’s a bug on the dev’s end, I expect they’ll fix it eventually.
