Problem Description

Issue

So brand new install on a baremetal ubuntu server with latest OS. Trying to get Enshrouded up and running for hosting. Ive tried the default ports with no luck and also my own ports with no luck. All ports are being forwarded correctly to my UDMSE to the Ubuntu server. I have checked the firewall settings on the Ubuntu as well and they are open. Im not sure where to go from here. Appreciate any advice to get this up and going, love the product and was quick to toss some funds at it. Thank you!

Reproduction Steps

  • First installed enshrouded with default ports and forwarding, after trying to use the connection link in connection info it would not let me connect.
  • Next, I went and doubled checked my ufw setting on the ubuntu server to make sure everything was open and listening.
  • Next, I used my own ports this time, setup the forwarding and ufw rules and still and getting the same resutls.

Is the server on the same network as your client? If yes did you use your public or local ip to join the server? With public ip you could get problems with hair-pin NAT

The server I was testing is on the same network as the client. I have attempted to access it using both my local and public IP addresses, but have been unsuccessful. Despite forwarding the appropriate ports, I have not been able to establish a connection as of today.

Can you check the Server IP Address of the instance? It should be on 0.0.0.0

Yeap, its showing as a 0.0.0.0.
