Problem Description

Issue

I’m hosting the server from my pc that I also play on might be the reason. Friends were able to join but I was not able to. Was wondering if I missed a step?

Reproduction Steps

  • Started server
  • join the server
  • kick me out for connection time out.

This sounds like a hairpin NAT issue. If you are on the same network, you will use your local or internal IP to connect, while others outside your network will use your external IP. You can check the manual and settings of your router to see if you can adjust hairpin NAT, but this is pretty normal.

do use my pc ip, or router, I tried both gave me the same results when I did direct connect
I’m using Spectrum if that helps. also using Ethernet
