I am able to join, but my friends cannot. When they try to connect it says “Joining failed, connection timed out” I believe that I can join because I am on the same network that the ubuntu server is on. I also allowed the ports in the ubuntu server with the command sudo ufw allow 7777/udp. I did that for all of the ports. Btw, the friends can see the server when they search for it in ark.
Reproduction Steps
forwarded ports , 7777, 7778, 27015,27020 and 8888 on server and router
made sure to enable cross platform under the server settings
used website, portchecker.dev to ensure all ports are open and working
used console command in ark to directly connect to the server (didn’t work)
Same here I am at a loss I didn’t do anything and my friends were online 3am then at noon yesterday it just won’t let them connect tons of troubleshooting but no avail. Holding out hope it’s an amp issue but I’m sure it’s not.
hey i turned the server off this morning and back on at 3pm central time, i opened ark tried to join a single mod had an update and i got on my server with no issues. it looks like a mod was causing the hangup and or battleeye which i dont use for private servers. try it now!
