Problem Description

Issue

I’m running into an issue where I cannot connect to the AMP web server through my external IP. I have checked everything to make sure that my ports are forwarded correctly and that my machine isn’t blocking the request.

I can connect to the web server through a internal ip, but when I try to connect to it through my external IP, it doesn’t load. However, the minecraft server that I’m running can be connected to through the external IP so I know my ISP port forwards are working. I also checked the canyouseeme.org results to ensure the default web server port of 8080 is forwarded as well. I also checked all of my firewall rules and my configs for AMP that I configured through the internal ip access.

Reproduction Steps

  • Start AMP and connect to it through internal IP address at port 8080. This works fine.
  • Try to connect to external ip at port 8080. This does not work.
  • Checked port forwards to ensure it is set up properly. This is complete and I have checked multiple times through different means.

What’s the output of ampinstmgr status?

Odd. Could be your ISP blocks 8080 given it is a common port 80 alternative, and some ISPs block web hosting

Or it could be a NAT hairpin issue. Have you tried connecting on your public IP while outside your network (like on your phone)?
