Problem Description

Issue

Controller and targets keep failing with needs session to exist. There are no network communication issues, in some use cases, it doesn’t even leave the HOST VM network, in others it does. This has been sketchy since I first started using AMP and its only gotten worse now, I migrated from VMware to PROXMOX and I decided to do a fresh install instead of trying to migrate the VMs from ESXi so it would be cleaner, and this doesn’t even work with clean installs.

Reproduction Steps

  • Install Debian 12, 12 as an LXC, and now Debian 13.
  • Install Controller VM on the Debian VM that was just created fresh.
  • Install a Target server on a completely different HOST or on the same host as another VM or LXC in some cases, doesn’t matter.
  • Pair Target to controller system during initial setup.
  • Try and add a game server, get session exist failure most times, sometimes it works long enough to create it but then you can’t manage it due to timeouts.
  • Refreshing Instance target servers from controller sometimes makes them disappear for a while instead of bringing them back like you would expect a force refresh to do.

Failed to create instance

You do not have permission to use this method (ADSModule.CreateInstanceFromSpec) at this time. This method requires the Session.Exists permission.

I let it sit for a while for the Target server to come back up on its own and then tried to create a instance and get this.
