Problem Description: I am having connection problems
I have 3 instances for games that I am hosting. All are working fine. I tried to add 2 more for 2 more ASA maps, but they are having problems. The frist on will not show at all in the search list. The second shows but times out when trying to connect. Here is what I have for port setup for all the instances that we have.
ASA: Genesis SFTP:2224 Game:7777 HTTP:8888 RCON:27020
Space Engineers STFP:2225 Steam:8766 Remote:8777 Server:27016
Wind Rose SFTP:2226 Game:7778
ASA: Rag SFTP:2227 Game:7779 HTTP:8889 RCON:27021
ASA: Island SFTP:2228 Game:7780 HTTP:8890 RCON:27022
ASA Rag is not showing at all on the list
ASA Island is showing but will not connect
What have I’v done:
Updated AMP to the newest version, named the maps by their _WP name, and made sure that in the game ini that the right port is showing, unblocked the firewall to allow them to come through.
Can any one help?
Thanks
When you say unblocked the firewall, did you port forward the new ports to the server as well and make sure TCP/UDP set correctly?
Yes, They are all correct.
This is for the Island that is showing on the list but timing out
And this is for Rag that is not showing on the list at all
That is what is showing on the AMP panel, but was asking about what your Router is doing. If you didn’t port forward to the server there too, the server will never hear anything.
The router is allowing ports range from 7777 to 7799 to be open
Make sure they are being actually forwarded to the server too, not just open (under port forwarding). With similar game data coming in, the router still sounds like the issue.
If you have that already done and are sure the ports are getting past the router, can you have someone ping each of them from outside your router to see if they are even getting ACKs?
Found the problem it was the firewalls. got that all set and now we can get in. Now have to figure out why we can’t transfer chars to a different map.
