Problem Description

Issue

I’m new to AMP but I’ve been managing gaming servers for a while. I have changed the settings on my Valheim instance I created but none of the in-game settings are working. Please advise.

Reproduction Steps

  • Changed settings
  • Ran update
  • Restarted server

Remember a lot of the settings needs Valheim Plus

I turned that on. Is there something outside of the console that needs to be done?

Did you then update the server to install V+?

Yes. I did. I’ve updated and restarted it every time after I change a setting.

What’s settings are not working? For many of them you also need to enable the relevant toggle for that setting group.

I’m having the exact same problem. The main things I’m trying to enable are “Maximum Carry Weight” and “Disable Damage to Player Structures”

Have gone as far and enabling every option available that mentions “Settings Enable” enabling BepInEx and Valheim Plus, though not at the same time. Updated after each change hundreds of times from all 3 locations that say “Update”. However, nothing I do changes the default vanilla settings.

I have about a dozen other servers over the years in AMP, and none of them have given me headaches like Valheim has in the last week.
