Problem Description
Issue
I have loaded bepinex and devcommands on the server and my PC and the mod doesnt work. Specficaaly sayes spawn isnt available in this context or simular
Reproduction Steps
- installed bepinex with amp’s gui
- added devcommands dll in the plugin folder
- stop instance
- started instance on valheim
Make sure you are in the Admin list for the server too.
Thank you!
I tryed with the raw steam id and teh steam id with “V_” in front. I should have included that detail.
In the case with “V_” in front i get a true true back from devcommands but spawn comes back with spawn isnt available in this context. Please note im paraphrasing the output but can get the specfic output if needed.
In the Bepinex config folder you should see a new file named permissions.yaml
You will need to give your account the permissions you want. The documentation says admins have full access by default, but I couldn’t get anything to work until I added my Steam ID to the .yaml and explicitly gave myself full rights.
I checked and the following was not present:
admin: true
commands:
After adding this did not solve and spawn is still not in available. if helpful i can pull data if needed or check logging.
Here is what my permissions.yaml looks like. If still not working for you I would recommend reaching out to the mod dev for help.
id: My Steam ID without the V-
name: My username pulled from Valheim log file
character: My character ID pulled from Valheim log file
admin: yes
One last question, I’m a bit new with mods for games and am having trouble finding the support forum for the mod. Is there a “normal” way to contact the mod team?
