Problem Description

Issue

I cannot get these game parameter changes to apply in-game however they are set correctly on the panel.

PalEggDefaultHatchingTime=0.05
BaseCampMaxNumInGuild=8
BaseCampWorkerMaxNum=25

The first parameter is not on the panel, it is in PalWorldSettings.ini and reflects that value however not applied in-game. I also tried adding these manually into the custom server settings box on Configuration > Palworld

I also can’t find where to put an admin password in for in-game admin

Reproduction Steps

  • I edited Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini values to reflect the desired results
  • I found the custom server settings and added the parameters I’m specifically trying to change and restarted the server.
  • I joined the Palworld discord and posted in their server help section with questions regarding this process to no avail.

If your server has a WorldOption.sav, that overrides the ini.

Search “remote admin password” to find the admin password setting. You will want to turn on “user-defined passwords” and then set your own remote admin password. The default one generated by AMP is too long to use in-game (Palworld has a length limitation in the in-game chat)

AMP controls the password because it uses it for RCON

BTW, all of the settings you list are in the AMP UI

I can’t find any WorldOption.sav and those parameters are entered into the AMP panel, it states these are the settings when I go into the PalWorldSettings.ini but still not applying in-game.

Looked in Pal/Saved/SaveGames?

Assume you have restarted the server after changing settings?

I ended up finding this, creating a WorldOption.sav and dropping it and it seemed to have worked: https://palworldoptions.com/

OK, not what I was suggesting, but whatever works for you xD
