Problem Description

Issue

I can’t use the /adminpassword command inside Palworld. I receive a message saying that there is no password set for /adminpassword, and because of this, I can’t become an admin.

Reproduction Steps

  • I enter the password in-game that I created.
  • The server does not allow me to become an admin.
  • I have already tried several things in the AMP console, but nothing worked.

Go into the file manager and look in PalWorldSettings.ini and see if they’re is an entry on the AdminPassword line and that it is in quotes.

By default AMP generates random RCON passwords. You have to the Instance-Security and Privacy-Policies and set “All User-defiend passwords” to on. Defaults to OFF.

Then go to Generic Config in the same main Securityu and Privacy page, and turn of Use random password. Now you are allowed to enter your own passworder under Remote Admin Password. NB: You must restart server after doing this. Why they have spread out these options between several pages I dont know.. its just confusing.
