Problem Description

Issue

every time I edit the “online-mode” rule it is reset, i.e. by default it is “true”, but I want it to be “false”, I edit it, save it and restart the server, but it doesn’t work, the “online-mode” rule goes back to “true”.

Reproduction Steps

  • I enter server.properties
  • change ‘online-mode’ from ‘true’ to ‘false’.
  • save and restart the server
  • the server still starts with ‘online-mode’ set to ‘true’.
  • I check server.properties and it has ‘online-mode’ set to ‘true’ again and it is always like that.

Why do you need to change it?

I am using ‘Geysermc’ and I need to change it to make it work.

No you don’t, you can install Floodgate (another plugin by GeyserMC) on the server and it works fine.
If you’re having an error with player messages, set enforce-secure-profiles=false in the server.properties

But what if I want other people without purchased minecraft to be able to enter?

That is something that AMP does not support

thank you, I will keep this in mind
