Problem Description

Issue

I think it reachs the max RAM allowed and it closes automatcly but i dont thinks that should happen with 5 players, this is a modded server and i think maybe the problem is arround the max RAM and the pre allocated RAM. There is any rule i should follow on this? Like i should put a lot of pre allocated RAM or maybe this is causing the server restart?

Reproduction Steps

  • Start the server
  • Explore a little in-game
  • Multiple users join

Your best bet is to read the log to see what happened.

There isnt anything important in the log, just the server stop. No error no warn, nothing.
As far as i could notice there is a point when the RAM reach 15GB but i think thats very weird in a 16GB server with 4 guys on it

If you’re using mods run a profiler with Spark to narrow down what mod is leaking resources or acting funny

I tried it but isnt working, its my first time using it and i dont know if i did something wrong. Following the installatión guide i put the .jar on the mods folder, grant the permissions on the additional arguments of Java what provides the VPS but when i start the server and try to run the commands there isnt any answer in the server console or the game chat.

If you’re running vanilla mods/plugins won’t load at all

I used the mod version for forge, im doing something wrong? Should i do another install of the server to run it?

A Forge mod cannot run on any other server besides a Forge server.
Like always, take a backup before making any large configuration changes.

It is actually a forge server, version 47.3.0 in 1.20.1 so there is my question, can i just add it to the mod folder on the server (i tried it and happened what i said before) or have to create another instance? [(Im actually using this concrete version “spark-1.10.73-forge”) https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/spark]

Yeah it’s only required on the server. Then follow Spark’s documentation on running and reading profilers.
