Problem Description

Issue

Hi, I’ve been trying to fix an error happening when I’m using my minecraft server. When it uses a certain percentage of the ram, the server restarts itself, and I don’t know how to change the config to avoid this problems. I purchased the 8gb plan, I added those 8gb of ram to my minecraft server instance, but when it uses around 7gb the server restarts and kick everyone in the game by doing a rollback

Reproduction Steps

  • Start Server
  • Play with my friends
  • Server uses around 7 gb ram without reaching the 100% of ram usage
  • Server restarts

Just to note, we aren’t Hostinger, this is the forum for AMP.
Just remember that the linux operating system also uses some ram, and that Java mods often have memory leaks causing the server to use more ram than you’ve allocated.
The solution may be to lower the server’s usage to 6GB to allow wiggle room for memory leaks, or you’ll have to restart your server more frequently to clear up any memory leaks.
