Problem Description
Issue
I want to change the server.properties file of my Minecraft instance, but can’t seem to do it. Whenever I change it and save it and then stop the instance and then restart it again, the changes are gone. Why is this, and how can I fix it so that the server.properties file doesn’t reset to default whenever the instance is booted up.
Reproduction Steps
- Go to file explorer
- Navigate to the Minecraft/server.properties
- Edit server.properties to specified settings such as hard difficulty with pvp=true
- Restart the instance
- Settings are back at default
