Configuration with Minecraft - Memory Usage keeps accumulating

Problem Description

Issue

Memory Usage keeps accumulating while playing. Even exceeding assigned RAM usage.
Shown Memory usage is no bug. It uses way more memory then assigned (10.5gb from assigned 9gb)

Only a server restart will set it back to around 7gb

Reproduction Steps

  • Restarted whole setup including hardware and instance
  • Started playing on the server for about 2 hours until RAM keept rising
  • Checking RAM usage in Ubuntu using htop

That’s normal with Minecraft, especially in modded setups. You’ll need to occasionally restart the server to clear up memory leaks.
