Problem Description

Issue

Whenever I try to switch the server to forge.jar the server will not start and says it crashes instantly. i switch to the regular version of 1.16 and the server loads and lets me try to connect. It shows that its an ‘Incompatible Vanilla server’. Then when I click connect it gives me the error “Incomplete set of tags received from server. Please contact server owner”

Reproduction Steps

  • Stopped the server
  • Switched version to FTB New Source
  • Selected Ocean Block 1.16
  • Downloaded/Updated Server
  • Tried to connect

Switch the server type to Forge and set the forge version to match the one used by the modpack.

After switching to forge and selecting the correct version to correspond with the mods. The same issue is still happening with the errors above.

Make sure the server Jar is set to [AutoSelect]

The server gives me an error saying it is unable to start in the [AutoSelect] Setting. It only starts and lets me connect in full vanilla

Try setting it to [Autoselect] and hit Download/Update, this should let AMP know to use that specific version of Forge.
(Really wish that the FTB download API actually provided proper version info)
