Problem Description

Issue

I want to play with the Minefortress RTS mod, which requires the “fortress” gamemode. However, when I change it in the properties files, and then import the changes, it does not import this parameter, although it doesn’t appear in “failed to import” lines. I searched quite a bit, but couldn’t seem to find any relevant information regarding this particular issue on the forums. Is there something I missed ? An option to force amp to follow this particular property setting ?

Reproduction Steps

  • Fresh fabric server install
  • change gamemode in server.properties and import them
  • Changed property is not in the “failed to import” window
  • gamemode gets back to survival at server start

The value probably didn’t import because it’s not one AMP knows about. We’d have to change how AMP handles that setting to allow for non-standard values. I’ve added this as a review item to look into.

Thanks, it sure would be nice to have the option to type directly a string for gamemode, on top of the list.
Have a good day.

I’ve been and made this change for the next update.
