Problem Description

Issue

I am trying to enable PvP on my Spigot Minecraft server. I set pvp=true in the server.properties file and then restart the server for the change to take effect, but when I restart the server the server.properties file is overwritten by the AMP configurations. This means that I cannot enable PvP in my server. As far as I can tell, there is no option to enable or disable PvP in the AMP interface.

Reproduction Steps

  • Set up spigot server
  • Configure server.properties
  • Set pvp=true
  • Restart server to apply changes
  • server.properties file resets to previous.

In order to enable PVP go to your Minecraft Instance → Configuration → Gameplay and Difficulty and enable the option “Allow Player v.s. Player combat (PvP)”. Most of the server properties are managed by AMP and get overwritten by the settings in the web interface.
