Problem Description

Issue

I have 5 ARK servers that I was running on another machine before I purchased an AMP license. I copied over their “ShooterGame/Saved” folders which contain all of the saved ARK information. I would like to be able to run those in AMP. I found Issue #610 on GitHub but, until that is implemented, how can I transfer my existing settings over? Thanks!

Reproduction Steps

  • Create standalone ARK server
  • Move original “ShooterGame/Saved” directory into new AMP ark-se instance
  • Don’t see the previous settings… :frowning:

Did you actually import the config files? You do this via the file manager.

ASE is not set up for importing given that 90% of the settings are handled by command line argument, in view of the limitations of AMP and the behaviour of ASE itself

Hmm, how would you suggest that I proceed then? I’m pretty comfortable with programming and system admin functions, as well as ASE config files, I’m just not that familiar with AMP internals. Given that I’ve got 5 servers to deal with here, I’m happy to try contributing to a more-general solution. That may well save time in the long run in this case.
