Problem Description
Issue
Cannot get this server to have a password to join. I have verified that the server should have a password but it will not update the Gamesettings.ini
Reproduction Steps
- Changed the Server Password
- Verified there is not a toggle for Server Password
- Tried manually adding the Server Password in the Gamesettings.ini file
- restarted multiple times
- I’ve also tried “importing” from the ASA configuration
I have the same issue but I am not running it in a container. My original install was on Debian 13 as well with no luck. I installed fresh on a Windows machine. Both times were full installs. I then wiped that out and installed the Minimal version. I can get logged into the map with no password but as soon as I set a password through the interface(full version) or through command line arguments(Minimal version) I get invalid password. If you edit the GameUserSettings.ini manually, after restart of the instance it will revert those settings. I have banged my head against the wall on this on for days now. I was going to try installing in a container but seeing this post I see that is a dead end too.
