Problem Description

Issue

Hi, my ASA server is not showing up properly in the server browser. The Query Port (27015 UDP) and Peer Port (7778 UDP) are both configured in the control panel, but they are still showing as “Not Listening.”

As a result, my server is grayed out in the browser and won’t respond to pings. Please confirm that these ports are:

Opened properly on the host node’s firewall,

Bound by the ASA process on startup.

I’ve already set the Game Port (7777) correctly and the server works with direct connect. I need 27015 and 7778 to be live so my players can discover the server through the in-game browser.

Reproduction Steps

  • Stop instance
  • Open ports in instance
  • Restart instance
  • Start server
  • Check browser

ASA only uses the game port. The peer port and query port aren’t a thing on ASA - that’s only for ASE

See the ASA guide in the knowledge base section for troubleshooting steps

Thanks for the reply. I can’t find any entries in the knowledge base that address this issue. As far as I can tell the server should be showing in the game browser, but it is not. I thought it might be a version mismatch, but it is up to date. Very frustrating.

Did you select “show player servers” or whatever it is called in the browser settings in-game?

Also, can someone outside your network see your server? Could be a NAT hairpin issue for you

I’m not on the network; it’s a Hostinger VPS. I can connect to the server and play, it just doesnt appear in the server browser.
