Problem Description
Issue
When making edits to configuration files (GameUserSettings.ini or Game.ini) via the AMP file manager, the changes are successfully saved initially but are lost upon restarting the server. The files revert to their previous state. This issue occurs even after ensuring that the “Save” button is clicked before the server restart.
Expected Behavior: Configuration changes should persist after a server restart.
Observed Behavior: The files reset to their original state, and changes are not applied.
Possible Causes:
AMP may overwrite files with default settings on restart.
The server may lack write permissions for the configuration files.
Reproduction Steps
- Access the AMP file manager and edit GameUserSettings.ini or Game.ini.
- Make changes to configuration values (e.g., XPMultiplier=30).
- Save the file via AMP. AND RESTART
- Recheck the file after restart—changes are reverted.
