Problem Description

Issue

the world game settings wont save. this is happening in the linux area of the server. seems to stick in the windows area. Are there areas I should or I shouldn’t be editing this? I’ve never set up a server before, so complete newbie to this and just struggling with this bit!

I’m trying to make QOL adjustments and password adjustments, removing the “server name” which i presume Hostinger is requiring for some reason or another, and the admin and server passwords, this is the information I’m inputting:

[/Script/Pal.PalGameWorldSettings]

Reproduction Steps

  • I edit the PalWorldSettings.ini to desired QOL
  • run server to check settings, note that they havent applied
  • check file to see that it has reverted to default

Go to Configuration > Palworld, edit the settings there

I don’t think this is correct. This is what I see under Configuration with Hostinger.

I have been going to File Management under the main menu and finding the correct file

But the file is reverting upon server launch, unless I’m editing the incorrect file?

It is correct. Why would I tell you something that was incorrect?

But you have to manage the instance first to see its settings. Double-click on the instance tile

Because there is not a “Palword” option in my first screenshot Configuration menu, so which am I to click?

I have the instances opened, it is paused right now so that I can make changes to the server.

Because you are looking at the wrong Configuration tab. That is for ADS, the main AMP instance that manages all the others

Do as I say. Start the instance, manage it

I’ve done that, there is nothing there that shows me how to edit the world settings for Palworld.

Show me what you are looking at

Not what I am referring to

As I said, DOUBLE CLICK ON THE INSTANCE TILE

Or click the “cube” icon at the right bottom corner of the instance tile

Apologies, I missed the double click. I can now see the Palworld under configuration.

Excuse my ignorance, this is the first time I’ve done this. Appreciate your patience.
