Problem Description

Issue

I have a public IP block and would like to host the same game multiple times on the same server using default ports. However, I am having trouble finding where to “bind” a game to an IP address. The only place I see is in the Instance Manager/Config/Security & Privacy. However, this doesn’t seem to have any effect. Can you help?

Reproduction Steps

  • Config server interface with multiple ips
  • Create Instance
  • Change IP in Instance Management/Security & Privacy
  • Game is not bound to new IP address even after restart.

AMP doesn’t support using the same port on multiple IPs at this time.

Is this on the roadmap? I can’t imagine moving to enterprise to sell instances and not being able to allow someone to buy a dedicated IP.

Lots of Enterprise users do, because having a dedicated IP doesn’t benefit the end user much (if at all), other than if they’re too dumb to understand that the port can be different from the default.
Though to my knowledge it’s aways down the line with no ETA, as it would require a bunch of the instance creation/provisioning code to be rewritten.
