Problem Description

Issue

After running my configuration for a week, I’m unable to modify permissions at the instance/target level, as all the users have disappeared. I can still view the users and roles at the controller level, but when I get to the instance/target level, the roles and users are all blank. I don’t even see my Superuser.

Reproduction Steps

  • Create a 2 target with 1 controller setup
  • Create users and roles at the global level to provide a user access to one of the targets so they can mange their instances
  • Modify permissions at the instance level, to refine permissions depending on the requirements
  • Allocate users to a role, and test that their permissions work as intended
  • Wait a week or two, and note that Users and Roles are completely devoid of any user or role at the target/instance level
  • Users who are already set to a role maintain their existing permissions set at the instance level, but this stops me from giving them access to any new instances that I create for them
  • Cannot create any new users or roles on the instance level page, where the users and roles have disappeared and the list is blank, but I can see the adjacent page to the right where permissions can be edited, but no edits are accepted because I can’t target a user to modify
