OS Name/Version: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard 10.0.17764
Product Name/Version: (Always use the full version number - not ‘Latest’) AMP Instance Manager v1.9.9.10 built 23/06/2020 23:20
Problem Description:
I’m just getting back to using this server software after setting it up years ago. I can’t seem to get the thing running because I’m below the minimum version requirement. It’s also not letting me download updates stating that my email for the license key doesn’t exist.
Ok you officially have the oldest out of date install to date. Go to CubeCoders and select the OS that you are using and follow the instructions. If it’s windows, just download the installer and just install it as it will update it and then run in cmd ampinstmgr upgradeall
I am actually in awe and this may have to go on the hall of fame - a pre-2.0 installation of AMP and trying to upgrade.
Because of how many changes have been made since that time, I’d suggest that you should completely blow it away and start again. I don’t think AMP was packaged the same way back then so there’s no real way to preserve the existing installation in any meaningful way.
So if there’s any game data you care about, take a backup and put it somewhere safe - otherwise blow AMP away and start fresh because I’m not even sure it’s worthwhile trying to keep any of the existing data.
