Can't get public ip accessible on minecraft java server

OS Name/Version: Windows 10

Product Name/Version: Minecraft 1.12.2 (Modded with forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2860), Skyblock 4 Server Pack

Problem Description: I cannot change the Server IP Address field to anything that actually works. I’ve changed the Game Port field to 25565, which I have port-forwarded on my pc. Thank you!

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1: Create a server instance and install the modpack and it’s files. Then configure the instance and then click “Configuration” on the left sidebar.
  • Step 2: Then go down to “Minecraft” on the same sidebar and click on it. Then go to the “Network” tab. Try changing each of the IP settings to all available options and change the opened port. (I also cannot change them, as AMP automatically corrects the file to what the dropdown has selected)
  • Step 3: Try connecting via the public ip, but only be able to do so with local ip addresses.

Actions taken to resolve so far: I’ve tried changing through each dropdown option a few times, but the only way that it works is when I’m debugging outside of AMP and I leave the “server-ip:” field in server.properties completely blank. Then it’s perfectly joinable to anybody with my public ip and the port.

I have also double checked that I have the correct pc port-forwarded and the correct port on the instance. Thanks!

Just a sanity check, but you’ve tried both 0.0.0.0 and :: with the Server IP setting?
