Cant figure out login | attempts fail or web auth unavailable

OS Name/Version: Windows 10

Product Name/Version: Not sure but installed it through windows 10 starting today 4/1/2025 and running the installer.

Problem Description: So the program launches giving the user panel program saying “welcome to amp” with the username and password area. we set the username and password to what we know and whats extremely simple yet it does not work.

we’ve gotten login failed attempts and we’ve gotten web auth unavailable which I cant find any info on.

We tried reinstalling it and also using “ampinstmgr resetlogin ADS01” and then setting username to “admin” and password to “1234567” While this works logging into it still fails

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1
    uninstall and reinstall amp and click yes to all requirements
  • Step 2
    login to the web panel and program panel to see if either work using admin and password as 1234567
  • Step 3
    Reran “ampinstmgr resetlogin ADS01” and then setting username to “admin” and password to “1234567” which fails again so we relaunch it to repeat and doesn’t work.

Actions taken to resolve so far: Reinstalling, running “ampinstmgr resetlogin ADS01”, rerunning the program, and looking for more help resources.

Set a better password, not just a simple one like that

Got that we will try that and could that be the only issue just want to double check.

Try that first. Reinstalling might have broken other things but try the simple fix first

we tried to change the password to something more complex and it did not work.

I suspect because you reinstalled you have an old ADS running. I suggest you remove AMP entirely, including the AMPDatastore, kill all AMP processes in Task Manager, reboot and start again

We did not have an old version this is a clean windows install and today was our first day installing it on the system, how should I remove it in control panel or add and remove programs?

We usually kill all processes in task manager and we will do that once more.

we will also try to restart it.

We have checked and are not finding any ADS? I am confused on what to look for.

(new issue after following this and reinstalling localhost will NOT work at all not sure why)
