Cant connect and says Failed to login: invalid session when connecting

Problem Description:

cant connect and says Failed to login: invalid session when connecting.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. edit the server.properties and set online to false

    1. selecting server.properties and pressing Import configuration

    2. start the server

    3. check server.properties just to see online config goes back to true (crying)

    4. edit the the online line to false and pressing import configuration but still cant connect and says Failed to login: invalid session when connecting.

Actions taken to resolve so far:
I used my brothers pc because he has bought mc and it works well. And one thing i noticed was when he is joining at the server the loading sequence was (joining world> logging in > encrypting) so im pretty sure the reason i couldnt join is because the server is still set to ONLINE
