Can't change SFTP address, websocket uploads broken

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu Server

Product Name/Version: (Always use the full version number - not ‘Latest’)

Problem Description: I cannot change the domain/subdomain that the SFTP login info shows. Your discord support told me already this isn’t possible, and that I would need to use AMP’s certificate in order to use the FTP address without a direct IP. I do not want to use AMP’s certificate as I have my own reverse proxy & certs.

Websocket uploads are also broken most of the time and web editor file extraction also does not work a lot of the time, even though the file manager feature is advertised on your home page as being a core part of the service/software.

If you're sharing console output, logs, or commands you have run, please make sure to use code tags
(3x backticks for blocks, 1x backtick for a single line) to help make posts readable. This also
provides syntax highlighting.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1 Upload a file
  • Step 2 Upload a file
  • Step 3 Upload a file

Actions taken to resolve so far: Discord support

First please make sure you fill in the template correctly, you haven’t included the AMP version number and left in parts of the template.

What do you mean exactly by websocket uploads? AMP doesn’t use that by default, it was an experimental feature that has been made redundant by recent changes to the file manager to fix issues with file transfers. This assumes you’re on the latest version of AMP, which right now is version 2.5.1.6.

As for the SFTP, you can change the hostname that displays there on new instances by editing the “Base URL” setting. This lets you display a different URL within AMP than the one that’s actually being used to connect to AMPs interface when generating links etc. You can find it by typing “URL” into AMPs search box in the top right.
