I currently have my AMP server running on a subdomain, amp.domain.com, can I provide my instances over a subdirectory? Something along the lines of amp.domain.com/valheim or similarly with /minecraft? I attempted to route a custom location in Nginx Proxy Manger where a /minecraft folder was routed to my servers IP and the port 19132 but didn’t have any luck. Any tips? Or is this just not possible?
Yes but you don’t get to pick the names, if you right click an instance and select “Manage in new tab” it’ll give you the URL.
Sorry, yes you are right that does work to manage the instance, but I meant more so to actually connect to the server in game using that sub directory (rather than a port so that I could avoid forwarding any ports), but it looks like using sub directories in games doesn’t work regardless.
Is it even possible to connect to my server using my subdomain at all? ie amp.domain.com:19132
Yes absolutely that doesn’t require any extra configuration. If you’re hosting Minecraft servers, take a look into SRV records.
I think I am loosing it, so probably dumb question, but I seem to be able to access my Minecraft server from outside my network using my domain (verified with mcsrvstat). Yet, on my local network the using domain does not work, but my external ip and internal ip do work. Might be outside the scope of AMP, but figured it might be worth asking. Any idea why that might be?
EDIT: This issue was I was routing my domain through my pi hole DNS settings to my reverse proxy when I didnt need to because I have an A type record already defined for it. Thanks for all the help Mike
