Backup Upload Fails Despite High Limit: “S3 Max Individual Backup Size” Error

OS Name/Version:
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Product Name/Version:
AMP Instance Manager v2.6.1.4, built 10/04/2025 12:27

Problem Description:
I’m attempting to upload a backup to S3, but the process fails with the following error:

Failed to upload backup to S3: This backup would exceed the "S3 Max Individual Backup Size" setting. Search for this setting in the top right of AMP to increase it.

The issue is that I’ve already set the “S3 Max Individual Backup Size” to a much higher value than needed (currently 25,000 MB), and the backup is only around 12 GB. Despite this, the error persists. I’ve searched for similar issues but didn’t find a direct solution.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1: Configure S3 storage as backup target
  • Step 2: Set S3 Max Individual Backup Size to 25000 MB via AMP UI
  • Step 3: Attempt to run a backup via the AMP interface

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • Increased the “S3 Max Individual Backup Size” to 25,000 MB
  • Restarted AMP to ensure changes were applied
  • Verified that the backup is under the size limit (~12 GB)
  • Double-checked other backup-related settings
  • Searched the support forum and documentation for similar cases

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
