OS Name/Version: Windows 11
Product Name/Version: (Always use the full version number - not ‘Latest’) AMP Release “Phobos”
v2.6.1.6, built 17/04/2025 15:37
Problem Description: Ark clustering not allowing transfer at obelisk. We have two instances setup on the same machine. Both maps work alone, have the same cluster id, have their own save directory and access to the shared cluster directory. However, when going to the obelisk, it’s not able to find the 2nd instance. We’ve added the legacy ms loopback, enabled opennat on the router, fully disabled the windows firewall.
Steps to reproduce:
- Step 1 - set up two instances in amp.
- Step 2 - setup cluster id and set it on both
- Step 3 - go to obelisk and try to transfer, 2nd server doesn’t show up
Actions taken to resolve so far:
- Save directories, cluster save directory, added legacy nat loopback, restarted game, nothing is working.
Hey @Larry_Martin,
I saw your post and wanted to help troubleshoot your Ark clustering issue in AMP Phobos v2.6.1.6. Since both servers work independently but aren’t visible at the obelisk, here are some steps to try:
Steps to Fix:
- Verify Cluster ID Matching – Ensure both instances have exactly the same Cluster ID and that Cluster Directory Override is enabled.
- Check for Mod or Version Mismatches – If the maps have different installed versions or mods, they may not sync properly. Run an update on both servers.
- Confirm NAT Loopback Support – Some routers don’t support NAT loopback, which prevents Ark from detecting local servers. If your router doesn’t support it, try using a VPN.
- Review Port Forwarding Rules – Make sure game/query ports (e.g.,
27015, 7777, 7778) are correctly forwarded in both your router and Windows firewall.
- Check Obelisk Transfer Filters – If your servers don’t use passwords, uncheck the “Show Password Protected” filter in the obelisk transfer screen.
A Few Questions to Help Troubleshoot:
- Does the AMP log show any errors related to clustering?
- Have you tried manually connecting to the second server using its direct IP and port?
- Are both servers running the same Ark version and mods?
Let me know if any of these steps help or if you can provide more details—I’d be happy to troubleshoot further!
