Task
Stop Ark ASA servers from running at over 100% CPU
Problem Description
Issue
Recently my 2 Ark ASA instances have been running at +130% CPU usage, even with no players connected. I’ve updated everything and even cleared all mods, but get the same result. I started a new ARK ASA instance with default settings and it also ran at over 100% CPU without ever having a player connect. I currently have a Minecraft instance on the same server with no issues. I’ve also ran the terminal command to force an AMP update (ampinstmgr --nocache upgradeall).
Not sure what to do to get these servers running properly again.
Reproduction Steps
- I’ve updated the server instances.
- I’ve fully updated the Linux system.
- I’ve started a brand new instance with default settings and get the same high CPU usage.
