If one does not want to use the official installation script! Could one still provide archives with the binary files?
The installation script is the only officially supported method. If you want to do otherwise you can find the deb/rpm repo at https://repo.cubecoders.com - but you’re very much on your own if you do this and won’t get any installation support.
And as a binary file? Which one simply execute? Something like this:
./amp
That then the server just starts!
What are you trying to do exactly? That’s not how AMP works. Each instance needs configuring before it can start and do anything. That’s why the instance manager is part of the setup process to get everything going.
