Problem Description
Issue
Today, I wanted to add another user to my server panel so we could fix my CS2 server. I added a new user profile for him and gave him super admin permissions. Sadly, when we both tried to access the server through SFTP, we both got an error that said “access denied.” If we connect to the CS2 server instance directly, we can use FTP on that specific instance, just not on the top level. This requires me to open another port on my router, though. I run multiple servers, so I don’t want to keep opening up multiple ports just to manage the files across my different servers.
We’re both using our own usernames and passwords, and we don’t have 2FA activated on our accounts. Top level SFTP was working for me before I did any of this. Not too sure what’s causing it to have issues now.
Reproduction Steps
- Add new user with super admin permissions
- Connect to top level SFTP
- Access to the top level SFTP is denied
