Clone a stopped Instance

Problem Description

Issue

Issue I am having is trying to clone stopped instance, failing complaining about needing Professional or better license, have Advanced Edition lifetime license. So I was trying to clone an Ark Ascended (7 server) Cluster so I didnt have to painstakingly enter in the same config and .ini settings 7 times in a row. Im looking at the breakdown for Advanced Edition License it says “All features from Professional Edition” so I would assume that would include instance cloning.
Amp machine is Windows 11 Pro OS build 26100.2605 (telling me its fully up to date) and AMP and all instances are version 2.7.2.0 (up to date)

Reproduction Steps

  • ADS module config > Instance deployment > Default Deployment > Reactivate all Local Instances with Advanced Edition license key
  • AMPinstmgr stopall > Followed by: ampinstmgr reactivateall (/W Advanced edition license key)
  • Amp Core - All instanced Verified license type: AMP Advanced
  • AMP and all module fully up to date
  • Make Support Ticket

Also advanced user - getting failed attempts to clone an instance.. requires Profession edition despite contents of advanced user should include professional features,

Actually it does say Professional or better license, Advanced is a better license so my assumption is its a bug with the licensing system of the Deimos branch. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Resulted in taking 6+ hours to setup Ark Cluster of 8 servers where each one had to manually change 50 settings to be identical when I could have just finished one, cloned it and changed map setting, server name and been done in minutes.

Still and issue even with most recent patch 2.7.2 - 20260423.1

I was able to fix it on my system. I noticed that reactivateall did not reactivate the asd. I ran “ampinstmgr reactivate”, it asked me for my instance, and I gave it ads01 and then my key. I did this for each of my servers, and now clone works.
