Running AMP on a Ubuntu VM running on my own hardware.
I’ve been migrating by backups from my aging tape library to the cloud (S3). Since I’m dealing with tens of terabytes I want to watch my expenses pretty closely which means putting the correct storage classification on my backups.
While AMP lets me backup to S3, I’m not seeing any way to control the classification on the objects stored in S3.
Not as it currently stands - right now AMP uses the “Standard” class by default. Exposing that setting would be trivial enough though if it’s useful to people. Most S3 providers don’t actually use it (it’s determined by the bucket itself) which is why it was never exposed.
