AMP Instance Manager requesting Windows Passkey

OS Name/Version: Windows 11 Pro 24H2

Product Name/Version: (Always use the full version number - not ‘Latest’)

Problem Description: When I launch from the desktop AMP Instance Manager, a pop up appears. Windows Security. Choose a passkey. I chose an Android Device. Scan the QR. On my phone, it times out cant find. I just purchased this today and I am sure I messed up something during setup.

Steps to reproduce:

  • I don’t use passkeys, but I do recall clicking on it during setup.
  • I tried the various means of searching for the passkey and I don’t have any in my MS account nor on the computer.
  • I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. I finally used REVO installer.
  • The pop up still appears after clean installs.
  • I am loss on what is going on.

Open a command prompt and run ampinstmgr delete ADS01 , then run ampinstmgr quickstart to reset everything.
