Amp installer stops on installing prerequisites

OS Name/Version: debian 12.10

Product Name/Version: Amp installer

Problem Description: Ive attempted to install amp on a fresh debian desktop installation. Im relatively new to linux. The os installs a okay, but the amp installer stops at installing prerequisites.

Steps to reproduce:

  • install a fresh version of debian, using an iso image from the debian website.
  • install amp

Actions taken to resolve so far: ive tried reinstalling debian desktop a couple of times with no change. I know this computer build can support it i tested amp on a vm on the same machine with no issues, but now that im trying it on the actual desktop it fails.

If it’s that fresh it may well genuinely just be the time it takes since it’ll update the OS at the same time.

Could you pull the /root/getamp-xxxxxxxxx.log and see what it says?

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the response, I have 2 different logs in my folder along with the ampsummary. Here are the two logs inside of a pastebin.

Log 1
Log 2

Solution found:

Okay i got it functioning, all i had to do was go into software and updates, go to other software and uncheck the cdrom software. I assume debian was using my iso image as a way to update the os, but was failing in that update.
