Adding a game but unsure of compatibility

Hi, so I got curious with the add game to AMP and decided to dive head first into a game that has modern compatability related issues. I am not at all experienced so please correct anything that I am wrong with.

The game is Disney’s Treasure Planet Battle of Procyon on Steam. It has multiplayer but servers definitly don’t exist. Both LAN and Multiplayer Via DirectPlay is found (Windows requested activation upon creating a server)

Using Portforward utilities I listened for active ports for the game and found 1 when pressing multiplayer, 9 when making the lobby then 1 for being ready in the lobby and 3 in game then 1 for Game Over Screen and last 1 for Back to Lobby. All UDP Ports. Also whilst viewing Steam Guides, people have got LAN to work by disabling IPV6.

Also I am presuming the Server Creation is done Via Host rather than a background process. So this would be a waste of time?

If anyone would like to have a dive, here’s some of the ports used:
10222, 55293, 17420, 38765, 7891, 2302, 1201, 25049, 28238, 44499, 45595, 10166, 10430

If required I’ll find the ports again in the order they get requested due to in game activity
Thanks, ps this was done without being in compatibility mode so there may be some differences.

Yes, it would need a dedicated server

So as of now it’s a waste of time?

My understanding is steam doesn’t handle the multiplayer, but the legacy service DirectPlay does.

I haven’t researched Direct Play fully yet, so I don’t know whether you can run a dedicated server without having the application open and the player playing the server.
If you can there might be a chance it could work.

I don’t program so if Direct Play doesn’t have a tool to boot servers up with then it’s going to be as far as I get then.

Yes, a waste of time in so far as trying to run it through AMP
